TimeGlider: an open-source timeline component

Posted by Dion Almaer 2 years ago on component javascript ux widget

Michael Richardson is working on an open source timeline component called TimeGlider built on jQuery, Raphael, and more.

It reminds me of the good old Simile project from MIT, and as it happens the source code for this puppy is also under the nicely liberal MIT license.

The project has the following goals:

  • Functionality on iPads and other touch-enabled devices.
  • Easy integration into HTML/JS-based applications and interfaces.
  • Complex layout possibilities with customized blocks of HTML for
    any given event.
